Neron Diaz vs Selestino Mato

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Distrito Federal promoted show at Neper Pando Gym, Mexico City,  taking place on 26/01/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico-Distrito Federal Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Neron Diaz (10 - 8(4) - 1) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Selestino Mato(6 - 3 - 1) from Mexico City, Mexico.  Both Diaz and Mato weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vegas Villarroel, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Lizana, Montana Villasana and Cris Nepomuceno.
