Mikio Sakurai vs Fumio Koyama

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at PACIFICO Yokohama Conference Center, Yokohama,  taking place on 16/02/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Kanagawa Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Sakurai (13 - 0) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Fumio Koyama(13 - 6(1) - 2) from Kawasaki, Japan.  Both Sakurai and Koyama weighed in at 121 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Daiki Sasaki, and the three ringside judges are Hajime Oh, Raiden Yamaoka and Yasushi Aoki.
