John Crumb vs John Riddle

Boxing Daily Report from the Simasiku Promotions promoted show at Nicholas Baird Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 27/01/2026:

Clearly Simasiku Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Crumb (4 - 9 - 5) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and John Riddle(7 - 0 - 1) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Crumb weighed in at 125 pounds and 4 ounces, while Riddle weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Woodburn, and the three ringside judges are Will Mellas, Oliver Ngarongomate and Dave Forbush.  

Round 1: 

Riddle is looking to close the distance.  Riddle pivots from in front of his opponent.  Crumb lands a right hook.
