Chigozie Nwuche vs Sone Odimayo

Boxing Daily Report from the Chirambo Promotions promoted show at Kano Agunbiade, Kano,  taking place on 27/01/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Nigeria-Kano State Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chigozie Nwuche (13(1) - 1) who hails from Kano, Nigeria and Sone Odimayo(11 - 5 - 4) from Kano, Nigeria.  Nwuche weighed in at 140 pounds, while Odimayo weighed in at 139 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jay-Jay Ukaegbu, and the three ringside judges are Hope Ukuh, Jay-Jay Ukaegbu and Gazi Ansari.
