Alec Sadami vs Imran Abboud

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Kumasi Jatoi, Kumasi,  taking place on 28/01/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Alec Sadami (3 - 0) who hails from Achiaman, Ghana and Imran Abboud(0 - 2 - 1) from Lagos, Nigeria.  Both Sadami and Abboud weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon Amartey, and the three ringside judges are Bob Antwi, Brad Kyei and Rob Yeboah.  

Round 1: 

Sadami closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  Sadami holds on to his opponent.  Sadami leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sadami advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sadami clinches his opponent.  Sadami pushes his forearm into Abboud's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sadami to stop fouling.  
Abboud sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sadami lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Abboud throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Sadami lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Sadami throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Sadami steps inside.  Sadami is on target with a right hook.  As Sadami tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Abboud dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Abboud.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
