Savas Topuz vs Derya Akdari

Boxing Daily Report from the Nabighyan Promotions promoted show at Izmir Cobanoglu, Izmir,  taking place on 01/01/2026:

Clearly Nabighyan Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Turkey-Izmir Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Savas Topuz (9 - 6 - 1) who hails from Izmir, Turkey and Derya Akdari(2 - 5 - 2) from Izmir, Turkey.  Both Topuz and Akdari weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ufuk Onder, and the three ringside judges are Metin Calhanoglu, Cemil Erbil and Koray Ali.  

Round 1: 

Akdari closes the distance.  Topuz lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
