Dave Morison vs Lee Callacghan

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Marriott Hotel, Bristol,  taking place on 28/01/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Dave Morison (2 - 0) who hails from Plymouth, UK and Lee Callacghan(6 - 1) from Cork, Ireland.  Both Morison and Callacghan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dom Buchan, and the three ringside judges are Gus Cruguet, Glynn Reddick and Patrick Cameron.  

Round 1: 

Morison tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Callacghan is on target with a jab.  Callacghan throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Morison closes the distance.  Callacghan steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Morison is whaling away with hooks, but Callacghan keeps his defence tight.

Morison lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Morison is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Morison attempts to land a left hook, but Callacghan sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Morison pivots to the side of his opponent.  Callacghan throws a right hook, but Morison clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Callacghan pushes his forearm into Morison's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Callacghan about fouling.  
Morison lands two left uppercuts followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Morison clinches his opponent.  Morison leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Morison tries to land a right hook, but Callacghan dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Morison is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Morison holds on to his opponent.  Callacghan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Morison's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
