Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Cape Town ICC, Cape Town,  taking place on 01/02/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Western Cape Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Josh Manamela (9 - 1) who hails from Khayelitsha, South Africa and Anele Govender(9 - 7 - 6) from Mitchells Plain, South Africa.  Manamela weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces, while Govender weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is La Vonn Dorkenoo, and the three ringside judges are Oringo Arthur, Laken Ako and Laken Ako.
