Khalid Abid vs Mason Walusimbi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Kampala District promoted show at Kampala Sewankambo, Kampala,  taking place on 02/01/2026:

Clearly AI Uganda-Kampala District have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Khalid Abid (9 - 1) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Mason Walusimbi(10 - 3 - 1) from Kampala, Uganda.  Abid weighed in at 159 pounds And 12 ounces, while Walusimbi weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Kayonga, and the three ringside judges are Shayan Waheed, Rehman Shaikh and Rehman Madani.
