Thamsanqa Maphatsoe vs Xayvion Sowah

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Cape Town ICC, Cape Town,  taking place on 01/02/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Western Cape Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Thamsanqa Maphatsoe (7 - 9 - 1) who hails from Cape Town, South Africa and Xayvion Sowah(9 - 0) from Khayelitsha, South Africa.  Maphatsoe weighed in at 125 pounds and 15 ounces, while Sowah weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Oringo Arthur, and the three ringside judges are Laken Ako, La Vonn Dorkenoo and Laken Ako.
