Chu-young Kim vs Woo-young Tang

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Korea-Seoul promoted show at Seoul Yi, Seoul,  taking place on 01/02/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports Korea, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Chu-young Kim (6 - 6 - 5) who hails from Seoul, South Korea and Woo-young Tang(6 - 1 - 4) from Bucheon, South Korea.  Both Kim and Tang weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chang-hoon Sheen, and the three ringside judges are Sung-ryong Pang, Kee-hee Reeh and Yong-jae Ye.  

Round 1: 

Kim is on target with a jab.  
Tang pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Tang tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kim sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kim lands an overhand right.  Kim attempts to land a jab, but Tang blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
