Yasushi Asai vs John Githae

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at NACK5 Stadium Omiya, Saitama,  taking place on 06/02/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the IRBF Intercontinental Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TBS, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Yasushi Asai (17 - 0) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and John Githae(15 - 5 - 1) from Kisumu, Kenya.  Asai weighed in at 114 pounds And 12 ounces, while Githae weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hikaru Masaki, and the three ringside judges are Mitsuru Kamei, Ichiro Miyazaki and Yutaka Hora.
