Joe Cay vs Roger Bermudez

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at San Antonio Abella, San Antonio,  taking place on 02/02/2026:

Clearly Spinger Boxing Club have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Texas Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Cay (6 - 10(1) - 4) who hails from Austin, USA and Roger Bermudez(8 - 13(1) - 3) from Dallas, USA.  Both Cay and Bermudez weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Galbraith, and the three ringside judges are Paul Mings, Mike Ruane and Rob Smith.  

Round 1: 

Cay hits home with a cross.  
Cay is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right.
