Simon Tandia vs Rio Corbo

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at University at Buffalo Alumni Arena, Buffalo,  taking place on 21/01/2026:

Clearly Bos Firefighters have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Simon Tandia (3 - 0) who hails from Touba, Senegal and Rio Corbo(9 - 7 - 1) from Ecatepec, Mexico.  Both Tandia and Corbo weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Purcell, and the three ringside judges are Cristiano Grimaldi, Zach Moriarty and Neil Sneddon.  

Round 1: 

Tandia closes the distance and lands a firm right hook.  Tandia attempts to land a right hook, but Corbo slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Tandia advances into close range.  Tandia pivots from in front of his opponent.  Tandia lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Tandia holds on to his opponent.  Tandia tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Corbo behind the head. Tandia leans on his opponent using all his weight. Tandia uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Corbo behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tandia about fouling.  
Corbo closes the distance.  Tandia sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Tandia hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Corbo walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Tandia digs in a left hook to Corbo's body.  
Tandia digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  Tandia wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Corbo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Tandia cuts off the ring, trapping Corbo on the ropes.  Tandia lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Corbo feints a jab, but Tandia is not fooled and lands with a sharp left hook.
