Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Coliseo Pedrin Zorrilla, San Juan,  taking place on 09/03/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro El Pirolitico Merino (13 - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Mehmed Akdemir(13 - 7(2) - 1) from Istanbul, Turkey.  Merino weighed in at 125 pounds and 12 ounces, while Akdemir weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Angel Zambrano, and the three ringside judges are Juan Laurel, Juan Laurel and Fausto Pinero.
