Dai Kawata vs Jason McGowan

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Olympia, Liverpool,  taking place on 18/02/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dai Kawata (13 - 0) who hails from Kobe, Japan and Jason McGowan(8 - 6 - 1) from Cork, Ireland.  Both Kawata and McGowan weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul McIver, and the three ringside judges are Ewan Sprout, Irfan Assaf and Wayne Latham.  

Round 1: 

Kawata finds the target with a jab.  
McGowan tries to step out of his opponents range and throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.
