Paul Finn vs Valentin Roussel

Boxing Daily Report from the All Talk Promotions promoted show at City West Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 21/02/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Paul Finn (7 - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Waterford, Ireland and Valentin Roussel(1 - 4 - 1) from Le Mans, France.  Both Finn and Roussel weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fionn Delaney, and the three ringside judges are Billy Ruane, Dan McCorquodale and Floyd Hobbs.  

Round 1: 

Finn lands a right hook.  Finn holds on to his opponent.  Finn is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Finn's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Finn gets on the inside and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Finn ties up his opponent.  Finn pushes his forearm into Roussel's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Finn is on target with a sharp jab.  
Roussel tries to step out of his opponents range.  Finn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Finn throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Finn closes the distance and connects with a left uppercut.

Finn gets on the inside.  Roussel throws a right hook, but Finn clinches his opponent.  Roussel pushes his forearm into Finn's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Roussel about fouling.  
Finn advances into close range and manouvers Roussel into a corner.  Finn lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.
