Omer Akdari vs Gul Ocal

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Turkey-Izmir promoted show at Izmir Sezen, Izmir,  taking place on 08/02/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Turkey-Izmir Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Omer Akdari (15 - 3 - 1) who hails from Izmir, Turkey and Gul Ocal(6 - 4 - 5) from Izmir, Turkey.  Both Akdari and Ocal weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Suleyman Topaloglu, and the three ringside judges are Tunc Sevi, Iskender Tekeli and Coskun Tagmach.
