Elshan Mekhtiyev vs Akram Morad

Boxing Daily Report from the Ngambi Promotions promoted show at Baku Abdo, Baku,  taking place on 14/01/2026:

Clearly Ngambi Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Azerbaijan-Absheron Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Elshan Mekhtiyev (8 - 6 - 1) who hails from Baku, Azerbaijan and Akram Morad(6 - 7 - 4) from Baku, Azerbaijan.  Mekhtiyev weighed in at 118 pounds, while Morad weighed in at 117 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Urfan Abaskuliyev, and the three ringside judges are Nariman Jafri, Malik Shabazz and Waleed Khokhar.
