Shaun Bukaka vs Michael Kathrada

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Jackson Mkhize Gym, Soweto,  taking place on 12/02/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shaun Bukaka (5 - 7 - 3) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Michael Kathrada(11 - 8 - 1) from Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  Bukaka weighed in at 160 pounds, while Kathrada weighed in at 159 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jackson Mnyamane, and the three ringside judges are Amon Makwetla, Here Van Heerden and Max De Jager.
