Venacio Barbas vs Cortez Armenta

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Pichincha promoted show at Quito Barreto, Quito,  taking place on 12/02/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ecuador-Pichincha Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Venacio Barbas (13 - 5 - 1) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Cortez Armenta(10(1) - 0) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Barbas and Armenta weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alvino Casiano, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Roque, Joaquin Santillanes and Neper Cifuentes.
