Brendan Preddy vs Louis Waszak

Boxing Daily Report from the Monster Promotions promoted show at Goulbourn Recreation Centre, Ottawa,  taking place on 06/03/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Brendan Preddy (3 - 0) who hails from Edmonton, Canada and Louis Waszak(1 - 5) from Chicago, USA.  Both Preddy and Waszak weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Ruskin, and the three ringside judges are Neil Cowans, Arnie Waddey and Mark Nixon.  

Round 1: 

Preddy is looking to close the distance.  Preddy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Preddy closes the distance.  Waszak throws a right hook, but Preddy ties up his opponent.  Preddy is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Preddy to stop fouling.

Preddy feints a jab, but Waszak ignores the feint and lands with a right hook.  
Preddy gets on the inside.  Preddy pivots to the left of his opponent.  Preddy hits home with a firm left hook.  Preddy clinches his opponent.  Preddy leans on his opponent using all his weight. Preddy is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Preddy.  
Preddy attempts to land a right hook, but Waszak slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
