Dave Speed vs Bob Carlyle

Boxing Daily Report from the Elite Prizefighters promoted show at Irish Centre, Leeds,  taking place on 20/02/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Dave Speed (5 - 0) who hails from Wakefield, UK and Bob Carlyle(5 - 14 - 3) from Nottingham, UK.  Speed weighed in at 230 pounds And 10 ounces, while Carlyle weighed in at 228 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Anton Kirk, and the three ringside judges are Amon Valentine, Bryn Dunn and Dale Watkins.  

Round 1: 

Carlyle pivots from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Speed lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.

Speed drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Speed connects with a solid left hook.  
Speed is on target with a left uppercut.  
Speed hits home with a firm left uppercut.  
Speed lands a right hook.  Speed ties up his opponent.  Speed uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Carlyle's kidney. 
Speed drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Speed hits home with a cross.  
Carlyle is looking to close the distance.  Speed is on target with a left hook to Carlyle's body.  
Speed is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Carlyle lands a cross.  
Speed gets on the inside and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Speed wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Carlyle has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.

Carlyle throws a right hook, but Speed ties up his opponent.  Speed pushes his forearm into Carlyle's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Speed gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Speed lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Speed forces Carlyle to back into the blue corner.  Speed is on target with a left uppercut to Carlyle's liver.  
Carlyle throws a left hook, but Speed clinches his opponent.  Speed is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Speed to stop fouling.  
Speed lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Carlyle throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Speed ties up his opponent.  Speed leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Speed drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.

Speed lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Speed lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Speed lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Speed forces Carlyle to retreat into the corner.  Speed hits home with a cross.  
Carlyle throws a right hook, but Speed holds on to his opponent.  Speed throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.
