Sammy Wight vs Mark Zheng

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 21/02/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the WRBO Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sammy The Brisbane Bomber Wight (20(11) - 1) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Mark Zheng(16(2) - 4(4) - 3) from Shah Alam, Malaysia.  Wight weighed in at 111 pounds And 12 ounces, while Zheng weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Evan, and the three ringside judges are Steven Candreva, Mark Lockie and Francesco Ghiglia.
