Valtteri Petaja vs Kimmo Kainulainen

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Finland-Pirkanmaa promoted show at Tampere Hatala, Tampere,  taking place on 17/02/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Finland Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Nelonen, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Valtteri Petaja (10 - 5) who hails from Oulu, Finland and Kimmo Kainulainen(13 - 4 - 3) from Tampere, Finland.  Petaja weighed in at 140 pounds, while Kainulainen weighed in at 139 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Pyry Mikkola, and the three ringside judges are Aarre Aromaa, Salomo Wirta and Aarre Aromaa.
