Useni Apea vs Danyaal Akel

Boxing Daily Report from the Coetzee Promotions promoted show at Kumasi Osei, Kumasi,  taking place on 20/01/2026:

Clearly Coetzee Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Useni Apea (4 - 3 - 1) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Danyaal Akel(6 - 11 - 2) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Apea weighed in at 140 pounds, while Akel weighed in at 139 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nabulung Ayew, and the three ringside judges are Andy Salawu, Andy Salawu and Bob Antwi.
