Selestino Corona vs Manny Penalver

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Francisco Morazan promoted show at Juan Barriga Gym, Tegucigalpa,  taking place on 21/01/2026:

Clearly AI Honduras-Francisco Morazan have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Honduras-Francisco Morazan Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Selestino Corona (6 - 9 - 4) who hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Manny Penalver(7(2) - 0) from Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Both Corona and Penalver weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rico Romo, and the three ringside judges are Selestino Arjona, Hilario Bonito and Xalvador Isabella.

Penalver cuts off the ring, trapping Corona in the corner.  Penalver digs in a sharp right hook to Corona's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Corona dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Corona switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.

Corona throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.
