Karl Donaghue vs Ross McGuinness

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Munster promoted show at Jordan Davin Gym, Limerick,  taking place on 22/01/2026:

Clearly AI Ireland-Munster have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Munster Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Karl Donaghue (6 - 8 - 3) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Ross McGuinness(6 - 9 - 2) from Cork, Ireland.  Both Donaghue and McGuinness weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joshua Fylan, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Hannigan, Eoghan Healey and Evan Coghlan.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  McGuinness has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
