Gennady Karpin vs Pyotr Shchegolikhin

Boxing Daily Report from the Lupyan Promotions promoted show at Taganrog Smyshlyaev, Taganrog,  taking place on 01/03/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Russia-Moscow Oblast Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gennady Karpin (8 - 7(1) - 3 - 1(NC)) who hails from Moscow, Russia and Pyotr Shchegolikhin(9 - 5 - 2) from Moscow, Russia.  Both Karpin and Shchegolikhin weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sergey Linge, and the three ringside judges are Aleksei Dobrow, Lazar Savrasenko and Dmitriy Kaun.
