Hajime Maki vs Naoki Koda

Boxing Daily Report from the Paintsil Promotions promoted show at Matsudo Seto, Matsudo,  taking place on 23/01/2026:

Clearly Paintsil Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hajime Maki (4 - 11 - 3 - 1(NC)) who hails from Matsudo, Japan and Naoki Koda(4 - 16(1) - 3) from Funabashi, Japan.  Maki weighed in at 147 pounds, while Koda weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Fumio Taketa, and the three ringside judges are Yuichi Kaba, Satoshi Nakahara and Hiro Ueno.
