Mark Bilali vs Ubanwa Gichere

Boxing Daily Report from the Konga Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Murungaru, Nairobi,  taking place on 24/01/2026:

Clearly Konga Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Bilali (7 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Ubanwa Gichere(5 - 2 - 2) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Bilali and Gichere weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Kanyoro, and the three ringside judges are Rich Ashira, Rob Birdi and Rehan Abed.
