Boxing Daily Report from the Konga Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Murungaru, Nairobi,  taking place on 24/01/2026:

Clearly Konga Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joey Imbuga (11 - 2) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Leighton Odindo(5 - 10 - 3) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Imbuga weighed in at 199 pounds and 13 ounces, while Odindo weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Birdi, and the three ringside judges are Rich Ashira, Matt Kanyoro and Rehan Abed.
