Mike Tangus vs Tevin Barasa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kiambu promoted show at Kikuyu Kimobwa, Kikuyu,  taking place on 22/02/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mike Tangus (10 - 6 - 1) who hails from Ruiru, Kenya and Tevin Barasa(9 - 6 - 2) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Tangus weighed in at 115 pounds, while Barasa weighed in at 114 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam Ngugi, and the three ringside judges are Amon Lai, Elliot Icharia and Max Arita.  

Round 1: 

Tangus is on target with a left hook.
