Chima Kalu vs Owen Izuchukwu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Rivers State promoted show at Port Harcourt Akwashiki, Port Harcourt,  taking place on 21/02/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Rivers State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chima Kalu (9(2) - 2) who hails from Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Owen Izuchukwu(8 - 4 - 2) from Port Harcourt, Nigeria.  Kalu weighed in at 146 pounds and 8 ounces, while Izuchukwu weighed in at 146 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Julius Sosan, and the three ringside judges are Bright Kuti, Gbolahan Ohadugha and Prince Nwapa.
