Shin Kato vs Mikio Tobe

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hyogo promoted show at Hikaru Anno Gym, Akashi,  taking place on 27/01/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Hyogo have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hyogo Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shin Kato (9 - 4 - 2) who hails from Kobe, Japan and Mikio Tobe(10 - 4 - 4 - 1(NC)) from Kobe, Japan.  Kato weighed in at 199 pounds And 10 ounces, while Tobe weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hiro Noda, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Sakamoto, Fumio Imai and Hiro Katayama.
