Jean-Marie Nilis vs Cesar Bassieu

Boxing Daily Report from the Empire Boxing promoted show at Rotterdam Calomme, Rotterdam,  taking place on 27/01/2026:

Clearly Empire Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Netherlands-South Holland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jean-Marie Nilis (15 - 1 - 1) who hails from Rotterdam, Netherlands and Cesar Bassieu(3 - 14 - 1) from Rotterdam, Netherlands.  Both Nilis and Bassieu weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Valeer Moenssens, and the three ringside judges are Godveerd Lambrechts, Ysaije Ridtsaert and Ysaije Ridtsaert.
