Santiago Cruz vs Peter Macapinlac

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-NCR promoted show at Manila Urdiales, Manila,  taking place on 23/02/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-NCR Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Cruz (5 - 10 - 2) who hails from Caloocan, Philippines and Peter Macapinlac(7 - 8 - 2) from Caloocan, Philippines.  Cruz weighed in at 146 pounds and 7 ounces, while Macapinlac weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Franco Larios, and the three ringside judges are Onofre Dimasalang, Jaguar Bumacod and Jose Mangampat.
