Louis Carns vs Thomas Rafferty

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at Coronet Theatre, London,  taking place on 08/03/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fighting Louis Carns (9(4) - 0) who hails from Bristol, UK and Thomas Rafferty(9 - 8 - 1) from Dundalk, Ireland.  Carns weighed in at 200 pounds, while Rafferty weighed in at 199 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aaron Winn, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Breckenridge, Mick Salton and Fraser Yeatts.  

Round 1: 

Rafferty throws a left hook, but Carns ties up his opponent.  Carns is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Carns lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  Carns ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Carns pushes his forearm into Rafferty's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carns gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp left hook.  Carns attempts to land a left hook, but Rafferty blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Carns gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carns walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Carns lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Carns holds on to his opponent.  Carns is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Carns and breaks the clinch.  
Carns is on target with a stinging cross to Rafferty's body.  
Carns is on target with a solid left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Carns lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Carns advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carns lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Carns lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Carns steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Carns lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Carns steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Carns is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS RAFFERTY SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Rafferty almost instantly recovers. 
Carns is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Rafferty's ribs.  Carns holds on to his opponent.  Carns leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Carns's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Carns lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS RAFFERTY!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Carns!
