Tariq Waseer vs Marques Kainerugaba

Boxing Daily Report from the Kit Henderson Promotions promoted show at YMCA Ground, Kampala,  taking place on 07/03/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Tariq Waseer (7 - 8) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Marques Kainerugaba(9 - 9) from Kampala, Uganda.  Waseer weighed in at 153 pounds and 10 ounces, while Kainerugaba weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rehman Madani, and the three ringside judges are Jay Mwesige, Rehman Shaikh and Michael Takuba.
