Goro Okimoto vs Ryo Kobayashi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hokkaido promoted show at Sapporo Imada, Sapporo,  taking place on 01/03/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Hokkaido have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hokkaido Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Goro Okimoto (5 - 0) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Ryo Kobayashi(3 - 14 - 2) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Okimoto and Kobayashi weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kyo Minami, and the three ringside judges are Daichi Hirayama, Satoshi Nishikawa and Yuichi Sano.
