Mark Montez vs Kyle Reney

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at San Antonio Abella, San Antonio,  taking place on 27/02/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Texas Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Montez (7 - 9(1) - 3) who hails from Austin, USA and Kyle Reney(5 - 5 - 6) from Houston, USA.  Both Montez and Reney weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Greenshields, and the three ringside judges are Sean Richards, Michael Milne and Rob Smith.  

Round 1: 

Reney steps inside and walks Montez onto the ropes.  Reney hits home with a left uppercut.  
Reney is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Reney's ribs.
