Yakiv Golub vs Fedar Mekhontsev

Boxing Daily Report from the Matchmaker Promotions promoted show at Kryvyi Rih Orlik, Kryvyi Rih,  taking place on 02/02/2026:

Clearly Matchmaker Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ukraine-Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yakiv Golub (6 - 11 - 4) who hails from Dniprodzerzhynsk, Ukraine and Fedar Mekhontsev(5 - 10 - 1) from Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine.  Both Golub and Mekhontsev weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hadeon Budny, and the three ringside judges are Aleksandr Kostenko, Andrii Milkovich and Gennady Kostyk.
