Paul Bate vs Haider Abdou

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at Houston Griffith, Houston,  taking place on 03/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Bate (10 - 6(2) - 3) who hails from Phoenix, USA and Haider Abdou(12 - 8(4) - 2) from Houston, USA.  Both Bate and Abdou weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brett Sproule, and the three ringside judges are Robert Corfield, Rob Smith and Johnny Cornejo.  

Round 1: 

Bate advances into close range.  Abdou is on target with a right uppercut.
