Shen Mak vs Xing-fu Wat

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at University of Science and Technology, Beijing,  taking place on 07/03/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the China Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shen Mak (14 - 1(1)) who hails from Chongqing, China and Xing-fu Wat(15 - 6 - 1) from Shantou, China.  Both Mak and Wat weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ye Yuen, and the three ringside judges are Dewei Manh, Xi-Wang Sha and Confucius Waung.  

Round 1: 

Mak closes the distance and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mak is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mak quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Wat finds the target with a jab.  
Mak lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Wat tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mak connects with an overhand right.

That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mak.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Mak steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Mak lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mak hits home with a left hook.  
Mak manages to force Wat onto the ropes.  Mak lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Wat tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.
