Hikaru Hayashi vs Yutaka Soda

Boxing Daily Report from the Shungwa Promotions promoted show at Kashiwa Takahashi, Kashiwa,  taking place on 17/02/2026:

Clearly Shungwa Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Hikaru Hayashi (0 - 0) who hails from Sakai, Japan and Yutaka Soda(3 - 3) from Kawaguchi, Japan.  Both Hayashi and Soda weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michi Anzai, and the three ringside judges are Hideki Yanagi, Mikio Kawai and Takeo Nakanishi.

Hayashi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Soda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hayashi hits home with an overhand right.  
Hayashi feints a cross, and then finds the target with a jab.  Hayashi throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Hayashi is looking to keep his distance and lands a spiteful jab.

Soda is looking to close the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Soda dabs at his face checking for damage.  Soda has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Hayashi lands a jab.  
Hayashi switches the action to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Soda is looking to close the distance.  Hayashi tries to land a right hook, but Soda parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Hayashi attempts to land a cross, but Soda slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hayashi lands with a ramrod jab.  
Hayashi hits home with an overhand right.

Hayashi steps away from his opponent.  Hayashi feints a jab, but Soda is not fooled and is on target with a left hook.
