Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Geelong Baseball Centre, Geelong,  taking place on 28/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Australia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Davie Johnston (11 - 5 - 2) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Matt MacGibbon(11 - 1 - 1) from Newcastle, Australia.  Johnston weighed in at 139 pounds And 11 ounces, while MacGibbon weighed in at 139 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kyle Hinshaw, and the three ringside judges are Gus Seward, Sammy Lorimer and Johnny Elias.
