Stephen Addison vs Stephen Watson

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Luna Park Big Top, Sydney,  taking place on 06/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Stephen Addison (14(1) - 0) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Stephen Watson(6 - 4 - 2) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Addison and Watson weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Touch, and the three ringside judges are Jack Tripi, Bart Aday and Isaac Ewart.  

Round 1: 

Watson switches the action to the outside and attempts to land an overhand right, but Addison sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Addison advances into close range.  Watson pivots to the side of his opponent.  Watson throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Addison advances into close range and forces Watson to back into the corner.  Addison is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Watson is on target with a jab.  
Watson is on target with a left uppercut.  Watson throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Addison digs in a right hook to Watson's body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Watson dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Watson.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Addison leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Watson accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Addison.
