Waqar Hamidi vs Imran Abdo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Algeria-Oran promoted show at Oran Belhocine, Oran,  taking place on 11/02/2026:

Clearly AI Algeria-Oran have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Algeria-Oran Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqar Hamidi (8 - 9 - 1) who hails from Oran, Algeria and Imran Abdo(4 - 9(1)) from Oran, Algeria.  Both Hamidi and Abdo weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Abdul Bakhai, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Selmi, Aftab Mona and Ibrahim Maaziz.

Abdo advances into close range and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Abdo lands a left hook.
