Matt Smith vs Amon McTaggart

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-New South Wales promoted show at Michael Malloye Gym, Sydney,  taking place on 11/02/2026:

Clearly AI Australia-New South Wales have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-New South Wales Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matt Smith (9 - 4(1) - 1) who hails from Newcastle, Australia and Amon McTaggart(3 - 9 - 2) from Newcastle, Australia.  Both Smith and McTaggart weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hugh Bobko, and the three ringside judges are Robert Callis, Joel Gittins and David Corrie.
