Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Montevideo Portilla, Montevideo,  taking place on 01/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Joaquin Pelayo (4 - 0) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Ponce Armendarez(1 - 4) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Pelayo weighed in at 122 pounds, while Armendarez weighed in at 121 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rico Rogero, and the three ringside judges are Kiki Rangel, Emanuel Castano and Santiago Gregorio.
